Getting your Anthropic API key
How to create an Anthropic API key for use with Spexsure BYOK
You need an active Anthropic API account with a key that has access to Claude Sonnet. Spexsure uses claude-sonnet-4-6 for all operations.
Creating a key
- Log in to console.anthropic.com.
- Go to API Keys.
- Click Create Key. Give it a descriptive name such as 'Spexsure BYOK'.
- Copy the key immediately — it is shown only once.
Recommended approach
Create a new key specifically for Spexsure rather than reusing an existing one. This allows you to revoke just the Spexsure key if needed without affecting other integrations. Ensure the key has access to the claude-sonnet-4-6 model.
Your Anthropic API key starts with sk-ant-. Never share it. If you believe a key is compromised, delete it from console.anthropic.com immediately and add a replacement in Spexsure Settings → Integrations.
