What gets created in Jira
The Jira issue types and field mappings Spexsure creates
For each selected epic, Spexsure creates a hierarchy of Jira issues.
Issue hierarchy
- Epic — created as a Jira Epic issue type with the epic title as the issue summary
- Story — created as a Jira Story, linked as a child of the epic; title maps to summary, description includes the story text and acceptance criteria
- Sub-task — created as a Jira Sub-task, linked as a child of the story
Fields populated
- Summary — story title
- Description — story description combined with acceptance criteria
- Issue type — Epic, Story, or Sub-task as appropriate
- Parent link — each story links to its epic; each sub-task links to its story
Story point estimates and labels are not currently pushed to Jira. Custom field mappings are on the roadmap.
