How ticket generation works

Ticket generation uses a two-pass AI process. Pass 1 reads the finalised PRD and produces an epic list. Pass 2 runs sequentially for each epic, generating user stories, acceptance criteria, and sub-tasks with the full PRD in context for every story.

Pass 1 — epic generation (8 credits)

Claude reads the entire finalised PRD and identifies the major epics. A typical PRD produces 4–10 epics. Pass 1 completes in under 30 seconds.

Pass 2 — story and task generation (3 credits per epic)

For each epic, Claude runs a separate call with the full enriched PRD as a cached context prefix. Each call produces user stories, acceptance criteria, story point estimates, and sub-tasks for that epic. A 7-epic PRD takes approximately 3–5 minutes total.
