How to connect your Atlassian Jira workspace via OAuth 2.0
Spexsure connects to Jira via Atlassian's OAuth 2.0 (3-legged OAuth) flow. You authorise Spexsure to push tickets on your behalf — no personal access tokens or admin credentials are required.
How to connect
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Click Connect Jira.
- You are redirected to Atlassian's authorisation screen.
- Select the Atlassian site you want to connect (e.g. yourcompany.atlassian.net).
- Review the requested permissions and click Accept.
- You are redirected back to Spexsure. The integration card shows Connected.
Permissions requested
Spexsure requests the minimum Jira scopes required to push tickets: read project metadata, and create/write issues. We do not request admin, delete, or read-existing-issues permissions.
The OAuth access token is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored in our database. See heuristicworks.com/trust.html for full security details.
