Uploading a file (PDF, DOCX, Markdown)
How to upload a PRD document instead of pasting text
If your PRD is in a document, upload it directly. Spexsure extracts the text and loads it into the editor, where you can review and edit it before running analysis.
Supported formats
- PDF — text is extracted; image-only (scanned) PDFs are not supported
- DOCX — text and table content is extracted; embedded images are ignored
- Markdown (.md) — loaded as-is
How to upload
- Click the Upload file button in the PRD editor toolbar.
- Select your file (PDF, DOCX, or .md).
- Wait for extraction — typically under 5 seconds.
- Review the extracted text in the editor and edit as needed.
- Click away to save, then click Analyse.
Scanned PDFs (page images rather than text) cannot be extracted. Convert to a text-based PDF or copy-paste the content manually.
